Montevina Greenbelt Damage

Members of the DLC Resources landscaping staff found significant damage to the Montevina greenbelt when they arrived to the property Monday morning. This area was recently overseeded and this type of damage costs the Grayhawk Community Association hundreds of dollars to repair. This has been an ongoing issue and we urge you to speak with family members about the destruction caused by driving on common area turf. If you see something like this taking place, please contact roving patrol through either the Talon or Raptor Gate at 480-502-7685 or 480-502-5078.

Community Survey

Don't wait! The community survey will close Friday. This is your chance to have your voice heard.

This is the first of a four-part survey. The other three parts will be distributed quarterly, one section per quarter, over the next 12 months. This section will take about five minutes to complete and will close at 5 p.m. on October 18. Please complete only one survey per household.

Loop 101 Construction

Upcoming Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) Improvement Project road closures impacting Grayhawk include:

The westbound Pima Freeway frontage road between Hayden and Scottsdale roads continues to be narrowed to one lane through completion of the new Pima Freeway bridge under construction at the future Miller Road alignment.

Hiking Club

Join the Hiking Club at 8 a.m. on October 19 to hike Brown's Ranch, an ideal hike for beginners. The hike is three miles and should take about an hour and a half. Visit the Hiking Club website to learn more about the hike and register.

Adopt-A-Road Cleanup

We are looking for a few good volunteers to aid in our Adopt-A-Road cleanup on October 19. Meet at the GCA office at 8 a.m. and expect to finish by about 10 a.m. We will provide water, gloves, safety vests and trash bags. All volunteers 17 years of age and under must be with a guardian. This is a great way to complete community service hours. Please register if you plan to attend.

Paws at the Park

Join Cashman Partners | Russ Lyon Sotheby's and the Grayhawk Community Association for this "pawsome" event on October 20 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Grayhawk Greenbelt. Check out the Doggie D.J., kids fun zone, pup portraits, pup adoptions, ask the Pet Vet, raffles and more! This is a free event, but please RSVP so that we have enough supplies for everyone.

Single Sippers

If you are a single looking for casual conversation, a friend, or just to meet some other singles in your neighborhood, then this event is for you! Join us on October 23 at 5:30 p.m. on the beautiful patio at the Vig McDowell Mountain. This is a great way to broaden your circle of friends and to try something new. Register by October 21 to reserve your seat.

Pumpkin Patch

Throw on a costume and pick out a pumpkin in our patch on October 26 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Monterey Park Greenbelt. Enjoy pumpkin decorating, Deb’s Dragons, face painting and more. DLC Resources will provide hot dogs, and there will be plenty of sno-cones too. Cost is $8 per child if registration is received by October 21. There will be NO event day walk-ups for this event.
