Arizona Helping Hands Pajama Drive

Help us provide cozy pajamas for boys and girls ages 0-15 in foster care this holiday season through our friends at Arizona Helping Hands! Pajamas need to be new with tags and will be worn all year so they do not necessarily need to have holiday designs. Pajamas can be dropped off at the GCA Office at 7940 E. Thompson Peak Pkwy. Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. or at any holiday event. Email Sarah Van Duyne with any questions.

Community Blood Drive

'Tis the season for giving, and what better way to give than giving to save a life! Stop by the GCA Office parking lot on Dec. 4 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. to donate. Although walk-ins will be allowed, time slots are limited. Schedule an appointment online today by using code P1Y27 or call 877-25-VITAL (258-4825). Remember to bring a photo ID, drink extra water, and eat plenty prior to donating.

Grayhawk Holiday Party

Join us on the patio at Isabella's Kitchen from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 9 for a night of holiday fun. Cost is $40 and includes live music, appetizers, two drink tickets and a comedic ventriloquist performance. An extra drink ticket will be given to anyone who brings pajamas for the Arizona Helping Hands pajama drive! Register by Dec. 6. Christmas at Grayhawk

Visit the Grayhawk Greenbelt from 5-7 p.m. on Dec. 11 to walk down Candy Cane Lane, ride a mechanical snowboard, create a Grinch ornament, enjoy beignets and warm drinks and meet SANTA! Cost is $10 per child (adults are free). Extra food tickets will be given to those who bring a pair of pajamas for the Arizona Helping Hands pajama drive. Register by Dec. 7. GCA Office Hours

The Grayhawk Community Association Office will be closing at 1 p.m. on Dec. 2 for a CCMC company-wide function. The office will reopen on Dec. 3 at 8 a.m. We

GCA and RVA 2022 Assessments

At the Nov. 1 Grayhawk Community Association (GCA) and Retreat Village Association (RVA) Board meetings, the Board of Directors of both associations approved the Budget/Finance Committee’s recommended 2022 operating budgets. The approved budgets result in a $3.00 per month increase in the GCA assessment and a $5.00 per month increase in the RVA assessment. You can read more about the 2022 assessments in this letter.

City of Scottsdale Bulk Trash

Due to a labor shortage, the monthly City of Scottsdale Brush and Bulk collection is running behind schedule. The city is doing everything it can to get materials picked up as soon as possible. Please be patient as they work to get caught up. To help crews, please follow the guidelines for Brush and Bulk disposal, which can be found on the City of Scottsdale website.

Cox Communications Outage

Cox Communications has a planned internet outage scheduled for next week. This outage will impact various Talon Retreat neighborhoods including Crown Point, Talon Point, Talon Fairways and Monterey. The outage, scheduled for Dec. 1 and 2, will also likely impact the back Talon entry gate. Cox will be communicating directly with residents, so please watch for more information or call 1-800-234-3993.

Los Vientos Neighborhood Spa

The Los Vientos spa has a pin hole water leak over the ignition unit, causing the pilot light to malfunction. Parts have been ordered for repairs and it is anticipated that the spa will be operational by the end of the week.

Transponder Installation

Installations this week will occur on Monday from 8-9 a.m., Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102).
