GCA and RVA Board Meetings

The Grayhawk Community Association Board of Directors will hold a virtual Board meeting on May 4 at 6 p.m. via Zoom. The Retreat Village Association Board meeting will follow. Watch for the Board packets and Zoom links in the Buzz next Monday.

Landscape Updates

This week, DLC Resources will be trimming and cleaning around monuments and entry areas. Cart operators will continue cleaning sidewalks/trails cleaning debris and trimming where needed. They will also be switching out winter for spring flowers. Crews will complete other routine maintenance including weed control, site line trimming and mowing. Also, bees are on the move! DLC had 13 bee hives in valve boxes last week. They continue to mark hive locations and coordinate removals.

Loop 101 Closures

Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) ramps at Hayden Road and Pima Road/Princess Drive scheduled to close in April and remain closed through June.

• The eastbound Pima Freeway will be restricted to two lanes between Hayden Road and Pima Road/Princess Drive nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. beginning on Tuesday, April 28, and continuing until the morning of Thursday, April 30.

• The eastbound Pima Freeway will be closed between Scottsdale and Hayden roads from 9 p.m. on Friday, May 1, until 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 2
• The westbound Pima Freeway will be closed between Hayden and Scottsdale roads from 2 p.m. Saturday, May 2, to 5 a.m. Monday, May 4.

Thirsty Thursday

Log into the Grayhawk Facebook page at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 to see what fun the bartenders from local restaurants are mixing up for you! You can watch a short tutorial on how to make one of their signature beverages to make at home. A $50 gift card to the featured restaurant will be raffled off to all who send a picture utilizing the take out option from that restaurant to Sarah at svanduyne@ccmcnet.com.

Succulent Adventure Kit

Common Area Amenities

As a reminder, all common area amenities including the tot lots, ramadas, and Retreat Village tennis courts, pools and restrooms have been temporarily closed.

Grayhawk has over 30 miles of walking and biking trails and those are still open. If you do out into the community, please follow all social distancing guidelines and preemptive measures recommended by the CDC.

Transponder Installation (RVA Only)

Installations this week will occur on Monday from 8-9 a.m., Tuesday from 2-3 p.m., Wednesday from 9-10 a.m., Thursday from 12-1 p.m. and Friday from 8-9 a.m. at the GCA office (7940 E Thompson Peak Pkwy #102). For questions, please contact Cierra at 480-563-9708 or caustin@ccmcnet.com.

Transponders will be installed per the regular schedule, however, there will be modifications as no residents will be coming into the office. If you would like to have a transponder installed please follow the steps below:
1. Complete the online transponder installation form
2. Come to the office during the schedule time in the vehicle you are having the transponder installed on.
3. Park in front of the office and stay in your car
4. A staff member will come out to install your transponder
